About the KWC

About the Kasi Worship ConcertĀ

Kasi Worship is a community-focused worship movement aimed at uplifting and inspiring the township of Mamelodi through music, faith, and social impact. Founded in August 2022 by JRoss, Megan Vuma, and others, the movement seeks to provide hope and healing to communities struggling with poverty, drug addiction, and crime. By creating a platform for local musicians, worship leaders, and artists to showcase their talents, Kasi Worship connects people through the power of worship while fostering unity and collaboration among local churches and community leaders.

The Kasi Worship Concert is at the heart of this initiative, serving as an annual gathering that brings together people from all walks of life for a time of powerful worship, testimonies, and community-driven initiatives. The concert not only serves as a celebration of faith but also as a call to action for the youth and the entire community to step into purpose, reject negative influences, and work towards a brighter future.

In 2024, Kasi Worship aims to expand its reach by further addressing key social challenges through partnerships with local organizations, continuing its mission to bring transformation to the township through faith, unity, and action.

Where?

Mamelodi, located east of Pretoria, is where Kasi Worship is set to take place in 2024. Unfortunately, Mamelodi has become one of the most notorious townships due to its severe drug and alcohol problems. With a high unemployment rate, many young people turn to destructive behaviors for entertainment. Kasi Worship is designed to usher in the Spirit of God to transform the youth of this community and the broader nation.

VOLUNTEERĀ

The objectives

  • Community Empowerment: Unite Mamelodi by tackling challenges like drug abuse, crime, and poverty through worship and community initiatives.
  • Youth Inspiration: Inspire the youth through music and worship, offering hope and encouraging them to live purposeful, faith-based lives.
  • Church Collaboration: Build strong ties between local churches and community leaders, working together to address social issues and create lasting change.
  • Showcase Local Talent: Provide a platform for local musicians and artists to shine, promoting creativity, worship, and positive influence within the community.

Our Goal

  • The KWC aims to usher in the Spirit of God to bring freedom and deliverance to communities bound by poverty, addiction, and spiritual bondage. We believe that worship is a powerful weapon in spiritual warfare, and through this concert, we seek to break the enemy’s hold on the lives of those in South Africa, especially within the township communities. Through united worship, we trust God to transform lives, restore hope, and ignite a spiritual revival
